What are Gaviscon Double Action Liquid Sachets?
Gavison Double Action Liquid Sachets provide fast effective relief from heartburn and indigestion.
Each sachet contains 10ml of Gaviscon Double Action liquid in Mint flavour.
These sachets contain three active ingredients calcium carbonate, sodium alginate and sodium bicarbonate. The calcium carbonate and sodium bicarbonate work as antacids to neutralise your stomach acid and ease the pain and discomfort this can cause. The sodium alginate works by forming a protective barrier over the contents of your stomach, preventing acid reflux and soothing irritation in your chest and throat.
Warnings and Precautions
Not suitable for children under 12 years of age
Do not use if:
- If you are allergic to any of the ingredients this medication contains
Speak to your GP before use if:
- You are pregnant or breastfeeding
- You have severe kidney problems
- You have electrolyte disturbance causing low level of phosphate in the blood, also known as hypophosphatemia
- You suffer or have suffered from significant kidney or heart disease
- You have reduced amounts of gastric acid in your stomach
Ingredients
Active Ingredients: Each 10ml contains 500 mg sodium alginate, 213 mg sodium bicarbonate and 325 mg calcium carbonate.
Other ingredients: carbomer, methyl (E218) and propyl (E216) parahydroxybenzoates, sodium saccharin, peppermint flavour, sodium hydroxide, and water.
This product does not contain sugar or gluten
