What are Xailin Hydrate Eye Drops?
Xailin Hydrate Eye Drops lubricates and protects the eye. These drops provide immediate relief of dry eye sensations and soothing relief from the symptoms of dry eye sensations, such as soreness, irritation, or a gritty sensation. A bonus with these eye drops is they are suitable for use by people who use contact lenses.

What can cause dry eyes?
Dry eye symptoms occur as a result of eye surface disorders that can be caused by a number of different reasons. These can be where the normal tears are either of poor quality or produced in too little quantity to keep the eye sufficiently moist.
What is the active ingredient in Xailin Hydrate Eye Drops and what do these drops do?
Xailin® Hydrate contains a gentle preservative which has significantly less adverse reactions compared with traditional preservatives such as benzalkonium chloride.*
* Xailin® Hydrate previously contained perborate, and now contains stabilised oxychloro complex (SOC).
Warnings and Precautions
- Do not use it if the safety ring on the cap of the tube is broken.
- Do not use it if you are allergic to the ingredients this product contains or if you have had a previous allergic reaction to this gel.
- Do not touch the tip of the tube with your eye or any surface.
- Do not share Xailin drops with any other person.
- These drops may blur vision for a while wait until your vision is clear before driving or using machinery.
- Do not use it after the expiry date.
- Store between 1°C and 25°C.
- Discard the contents 28 days after the first opening.
- Keep out of the reach and sight of children.
- Speak to your GP, our pharmacist, or an optician before you use Xailin drops if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
Ingredients
Hypromellose 0.3% w/v, Sodium Chloride, Potassium Chloride, Borax, Boric acid, Stabilized oxychloro complex, water for injections.
