Celluvisc 1% Eye Drops contain the eye lubricant called Carmellose sodium. It is used for the treatment of the symptoms of dry eye (such as soreness, burning, irritation or dryness) caused by your eye not producing enough tears to keep the eye wet or due to enviornmental factors.
Carmellose works by clinging to the surface of the eye so is not washed out of the eye as quick as some lubricating eye drops.

Once a vial is opened it can be used for up to 12 hours.
Keep out of the sight and reach of children.
For external ophthalmic use only.
Do not use if you are allergic to any of the ingredients these drops contain.
Do not touch the eye with the tip of the container.
Leave at least 10-15 minutes between administration of any other ophthalmic drug.
Contact lenses should be removed before each application and may be inserted after 15 minutes.
Keep out of the sight and reach of children.

Storage:
Store in a cool, dry place which is below 25 degrees C. Store in original packaging and do not use if expiration date printed on the carton has passed.
Active ingredient: Carmellose Sodium.
Other igredients: Sodium chloride, sodium lactate, potassium chloride, calcium chloride dihydrate, magnesium chloride hexahydrate and purified water. Small amounts of sodium hydroxide or hydrochloric acid may be added to bring the solution to the correct pH (a measure of the acidity or alkalinity of the solution).
ONE to TWO drops in the affected eye/s FOUR times a day or as often as needed.
Wash hands before use
Tear one single-dose vial from the strip.
Hold the single-dose vial upright (with the top uppermost) and twist off the top.
Gently pull down the lower eyelid to form a pocket. Turn the single-dose vial upside down and squeeze it to release one drop into each eye.
Blink your eyes a few times.
Do not re-use the single-dose vial even if there is some solution left. It is most important that you throw it away and do not keep it.
The most common side effects, which happen in up to 1 in 100 people, are:
Burning
Itching
Stinging
These are usually mild and only last for a few minutes after using the drops.
If these side effects continue, you may be sensitive to a preservative in the eye drop. Speak to your GP or pharmacist.
