What are Jentadueto Tablets?
Jentadueto contains the active ingredients Linagliptin and Metformin. This is a treatment for type 2 diabetes used with proper diet and exercise to treat high blood sugar levels.
How does Linagliptin and Metformin work as a treatment for Type 2 Diabetes?
Linagliptin works by regulating the levels of insulin your body produces after eating.
Metformin works by reducing the absorption of sugar from the stomach, reducing the release of stored sugar from the liver, and helps your body use sugar better. This lowers the amount of glucose in the blood.
What is Diabetes?
Diabetes mellitus refers to a group of diseases that affect how your body uses blood sugar (glucose).
The cause of diabetes varies by type. However, no matter what type of diabetes you have, it can lead to excess sugar in your blood and to much sugar in your blood can lead to serious health problems.
Chronic diabetes: type 1 diabetes and type 2 diabetes.
Potentially reversible diabetes: Prediabetes and gestational diabetes.
Gestational diabetes: occurs during pregnancy but may resolve after the baby is delivered.
Emergency supplys of Jentadueto:
Jentadueto is a prescription only medicine and an Emergency Supply can only be issued if you are currently being prescribed this medication by your GP for Diabetes. You will need to fill out a questionnaire, which is then reviewed to make sure Jentadueto is a suitable treatment for you. You will also need to upload proof that you have used this item before. If your order is approved, your Jentadueto can be sent directly to you.

If you are taking any new medications even over the counter medicines whilst taking Jentadueto you should make your GP aware to prevent interactions.
