How does Covonia Dry Cough SF Formula help?

This cough formula contains an active ingredient called Pholcodeine which is a medicine known as a cough suppressant. It works by blocking the cough reflex.

It is suitable for vegetarians, vegans, and coeliacs and is free from nuts, sugar, and alcohol.

Warnings and Precautions

• Keep out of sight and reach of children.

Do not use if:

• The child is under 12 years of age

• You are using other cold and flu remedies

• If you have an allergic reaction to any of the ingredients in this medicine

Speak to your GP or our pharmacist before use if:

• You are pregnant or breastfeeding

Do not:

• Drink alcohol whilst using this cough formula

• Drive if you think it affects your ability to drive safely, for example, if it makes you feel sleepy, dizzy, or unable to concentrate or make decisions

Ingredients

Active ingredient: Pholcodine 5mg per 5 ml.

Other ingredients: Citric acid monohydrate (E330), Sodium methyl, Ethyl, Propyl parahydroxybenzoates (E215, E217, E219), Glycerol (E422), Saccharin sodium, Xanthan gum (E415), Caramel (E150), Cough mixture flavor (contains Propylene glycol), and Purified water.

How do I take Covonia Dry Cough Sugar Free Formula 150ml?

Dosage:

Adults, elderly, and children over 12 years old: Take up to TWO 5ml spoonfuls no more than 4 times within 24 hours.

• DO NOT give to children under 12 years old.

What are the side effects of Covonia Dry Cough Sugar Free Formula 150ml?

Possible side effects:

• Drowsiness.

• Dizziness.

• Confusion.

• Feeling excited.

• Constipation.

• Nausea and vomiting.

• Allergic reactions such as a rash or itching. Stop using the cough syrup and get medical assistance if you think you've had an allergic reaction to it.
